In a fully booked Saturday "we forgot to note it down" is the mistake that loses a guest forever. An automated reservation system eliminates the error and also posts the deposit automatically.
Collision guard (the single biggest rule)
A table may only have one booking in any time slot. Attempting a second one must raise an immediate, blockable warning — the floor plan shows RESERVED and the hour.
How to collect a deposit
Record a 500 TL bank transfer as the deposit type against the booking. When the guests arrive and the table is opened, the 500 TL drops off the bill automatically so the cashier does not key it in manually.
The no-show log
Mark a booking as Did Not Attend and it sticks to the guest card. Three strikes and you can enforce a deposit on the next reservation — silently, without arguing at the door.
